Recovery Points w/out Winch Bumper?

I am curious if there is a way to have recovery points on the front of a DII w/out having a winch bumper. I thought I saw a pic of a DII with a stock bumper on here that had to shackles hanging down from underneathe the tag. Maybe I'm crazy! The bumper trimming post reminded me of it. Anyone??

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm familiar with those, but I thought I saw some shackles hanging down from the actaul stock bumper itself. Just under where the tag is mounted.

Here is a link to a pic of what you are talking about. The pic is too big to post. Anyway. There is a custom welded winch tray bolted between the frame behind the radiator. The shackle mounts bolt to that. Really nice and clean.

Does anyone make that bracket (for use without a winch) to allow the mounting of the shackles. The positionning of the shackles is perfect, and nothing gets ripped off if you use them!

Thanks,

I have an older DII (not IIa). I purchased a cheap second cut bumper because the stock one was just too low for even moderate wheeling. I bought some JATE rings from EE, and I was able to fit them on some predilled holes in the frame for attaching the bumper/crush cans.
