Looking at replacing the drivers side cv on my 98 DI. I can get a Napa reman unit for like $90, which is nice cuz it's local. Any opinions on the use of a reman CV?

I was waiting for somebody to chime in...

Personally, if I needed a CV joint and that's the only option I had, I'd use it. There's a ton of D1/RRC CV joints on eBay, starting at some ridiculously low numbers - at the worst, it is a good thing to carry around as a spare.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them new for less than $100 before. In any case i would check with Erik at Lucky 8 before buying some rebuilt unit from NAPA. or as Peter suggested, lots of used units out there.
