I cant believe he's gonna try to cross through Iran. We saw what they've done with the last 3 hikers who supposedly crossed their border. they love americans there as well.

He made it through Yemen under military escort. Iran and Syria will be hard to get visas for but if he gets them, they shouldn't be that dangerous, given the military control of those countries.

Pakistan is a very different place, if he makes it in time for the running of the suicide bombers, he'll be in for a treat. It's a magical event that will give you memories for life.
He got his Iranian visa and his Indian visa. Pakistan is looking to be a no-go. I'm guessing that he will take a ship from Iran to India and skip Pakistan entirely. For his sake, I hope he does that. Iran should be no problem; the police and military will follow him everywhere. He's pretty much home free once he gets by Pakistan. His only danger in Asia, as I see it, is petty crime.
