With the cold coming on soon, I was wondering if anyone is running a remote starter for their disco? Mixing one with the existing electronics is probably a recipie for trouble, but I figured I would ask.

You live in Virginia!
bigred said:What are you saying, that I must be a puss if I get cold in Virginia?? Its probably true, but I am more concerned with not having to waste 10 or 15 minutes defrosting/de-icing my car before I roll out in the morning.
QCNR said:You could always try an Eberspacher or a Webasto
These can be preprogrammed, started via remote or even SMS.
Much better than leaving your engine running to warm up!!!!!!!
I had an Eberspacher in a D110 with a 300Tdi engine and if I went back to a diesel engine wouldnt be without one!
I am in Fredericksburg. It's not that cold on most mornings, but there are a few where it would be nice to climb into an already defrosted, warm car.Walter said:I'm just giving you a hard time.
There's those few -10 degree mornings where a remote starter would come in handy.
Where in VA are you?

bigred said:Cool, thanks... btw, it still gets cold here. Any further remote start ideas?
I already tried that, and she wasn't having it, but maybe if I tell her that it was Walters idea...Walter said:Yes, wife and or girlfriend.
