removing roll bars

Are there any ill effects from removing the front and rear roll bars on a Disco I other than a less comfortable on-road ride? I recently installed a 2" OME lift and I don't know if I would have to extend the brake lines after removing the roll bars. On a slightly different note, what is the max tire size that can be fit comfortably on a Disco I with 2" lift?

I would remove the rear sway bar, but not the front. I have heard people doing it for EXTREME OFFROAD (read with monster truck voice).

I have 3" RTE + 2" Body lift and left them on. Its not really affecting me going anywhere - but I also drive on the freeway alot, so keeps it from swaying.

I just took mine off i would say 2 or so weeks ago, and the only difference i have felt on road is a little swaying 55+ and just go slower when turning... If you dont like the way it drives you can always put them back on

do it this way.. take them both off and drive for 3 days like that. then put the front one back on and it wont feel any different then if you have them both on. i had both off for a couple hundred miles and at speed it got a little squirrely.

the flex from having it removed will effect the brake lines. but the removal of the sway bar in and of itself will not. with it off, under articulation the wheel will drop further, stretching the factory brake line. just do the brake lines, it isnt hard and youll like the feel of the brakes better with stainless lines.
