Repair leaking oil cooler hose?

The quick connect fitting on my transmission oil cooler line is leaking. I replaced the inside o-rings, but the leak appears to be coming from the connection between the hose and fitting. Rotating, reseating didn't help, but wedging the parts apart with a screwdriver reduced the leak. Is there any way to repair this seal? I imagine there is an o-ring crimped inside the right side...

There isn't an o-ring on the hose side of that fitting. Its basicallya hose barb with a crimp ferrule. You could remove the old ferrules and replace the old hose with a new piece and worm clamps.

"Remove" meaning cut off with a Dremel or similar?

Any idea how much pressure is in there? Do I need a steel-braided high-pressure hose? The spec of that hose looks much beefier than I'd guess the aluminum cooler and tubing is.

There's a shop around here that could probably fix it, and I hear from AB that ptschram has a "kit" for fixing/building these, but haven't heard back from him yet.

Around here we just go to a place that rebuilds hydraulic lines. Usually they are around where semi trucks are worked on or someone can point you to that shop. You will need to bring the entire line from the trans to the cooler. Bet it won't cost more then $25 and done while you wait.

After my engine/t-case rebuild (it runs!!!!), of the four oil cooler lines, two were leaking. The worst was the transmission oil line above. Last night I used my electrical terminal crimper (big hydraulic crimper) to give it just a bit more squeeze, and that actually solved the transmission line leak. One of my engine oil lines was also leaking a bit, but the "squeeze" treatment didn't solve it. The engine oil lines aren't too bad to get on/off, but I'd give my right arm not to have to remove that upper transmission line again.
