To all who may get trapped:

Don't believe the torque settings for tightening up spark plugs.

Use the method you have been using all your life - the "feel" or "nip" method :)

For 28 years I haven't damaged one plug (and I've replaced a few), however this time I thought "why not, I'll use the recommended torque settings".

LOL.

Anyone had any experience with getting a snapped plug out of a cylinder head using easy outs?

Here's a bit of humour for you too:

A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam.
The doctor arrived, examinied the baby, checked his weight, band being a little concerned asked if the baby was breast fed or bottle fed.
"Breast fed," she replied
"Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered.
She did. He pinched her nipples, then pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both her breast for a while in a detailed examination.
Motioning her to get dressed, he said, "No wonder this baby is underwieght, you don't have any milk."
"I know," she said, "I'm his Nanna, but I'm glad I came."

Cheers
