Come on you LR3 drivers, how about posting some shots of your rigs doing some serious or not-so-serious off-roading in the gallery ?

From what one can gather in the forum there are already some blokes using the LR3 as it is meant to be used.

What's the cost on that, Ho?

There are some photos floating around the 'net of my LR3 at the Muddy Oval Spring Fling. I was very impressed with the vehicle. I need some f'n tires, though.

That's much better than what I was told at the dealer ($6-7k estimate) although they included labor and said I could only get it with the A-bar. Not sure what kind of labor that was ;)

I might have to do that. How difficult is the install?

19ers... I'm looking for a 17" rim to borrow as a test fit, and keeping my fingers crossed. Everyone says it won't work but no one I have met has actually tried it. Barring that, I guess I'll find a set of 18's and go with those Nittos. Not thrilled about that, tho.

Great..a whole video on rovering in a sand pit. I really dont doubt the LR3's off road capabilities...but come on man....you can do so much better....but on the other hand..It's the first video I have seen on dweb. So, thanks for the entertainment

I was half impressed at the way it dug out of that stuck situation. Though i wanted him to turn the wheels traigh first. Might be that locker thingy they have that helped.

You know i really wanted to see it roll though :)

for tire/wheel thing, i'd go wiht the 18s and michelin cross terrains 255/70-18. i heard lincoln navigators come from factory with those. and you know what most navigator owners do with those tires. :)

Like I said, just got it a week then. And it will be used for off-road camping not off-road playing
For playing I got this :

Good looking Truck

I have my IBA (Individual Ballistic Armor, I'm in Iraq...) vest on and am prepared for discoweb flogging, but I think John K's maroon LR3 looks great in those shots. The shot next to the D1 was interesting, its bigger than I expected and with more clearance. I'd keep my D1 for the joy of something to work on, but look forward to used LR3s in the future. Anyhow, just my 2 cents.

Those look even less aggressive than the Nittos... (Practically) free is good, but not if it doesn't improve on the stockers.
