Resale on an 04 Discovery II S - 29k miles

Hey Guys,

I've moved to the city and can no longer keep my 2004 Disco 2 due to low city gas mileage. I'm curious to hear what you think about resale on this truck-

2004 Discovery II S (Silver)
29,500 Miles
iPod Connecter, XM
JL Audio Speakers and Subwoofer
New Headliner
Just received 30,000 mile service

My rover mechanic told me that it is the lowest mileage D2 that he's seen. What do you think I could get for a truck in this condition?

The math doesn't make sense to get rid of a low mile vehicle with poor gas mileage and pick up a new car.

I live in the city and a paid off vehicle getting horrible miles is better than one with a payment or cash invested with better gas mileage.

That being said you will make someone happy with that sale.

I just picked up a D1 after quite a bit of shopping, I agree that $8k is fair. Sounds like a nice truck, good luck with your sale!

depends. i save +500 on gas monthly driving my Miata over the disco. not counting when stuff breaks.

silver, supercharged. po used it for a track toy to spank germans and vettes.

On this board it's worth 8k. NADA clean trade in is a little over 10k. If you have all the service records I'd list it for 10k in the real world and work from there. It depends on how fast you need to turn it. For 8k it should go pretty quick.

I bought the truck with 3,400 miles on it in 2007 for $20 k

The truck spent 2007-2010 in Baton Rouge, LA and made the move with me to Boston in 2010. The truck is now garaged here in Massachusetts.

If anyone is interested in a sale, I'm taking her in to be detailed this week and will post pics on the forum. If I don't get any serious bites, I'll get whatever I can on the trade at the dealer.
