rifled choke tubes

Anyone have any experience with them? NJ is a shotgun only state for hunting, and I just picked up a rifled choke for cheap off gunbroker. I've only ever used rifled slugs in a smoothbore previously. Looking to extend my range a little without dropping $200 on a rifled barrel if it'll get me good groups at 100 yards. Going to the range either this week or the next to try it out.

I'd spend the 200 on the barrel if it will make a difference. I don't deer hunt with a shotgun though. I would see how it acts at the range and then spend the money on a barrel.

in the grand scheme of things 200 isn't that much if it means the difference in mounting a 160 class or missing.
