Thanks Mike, fine line understood. Don't know that I'll make it over at all, but just in case I come up with a couple of hours free, I'll pop in.

Suuuuuure, just *pop in* 'round lunch and/or dinner, eat all our food, drink our beer , then be on your way!!

I believe that all trails will be open. Of course conditions during the event always dictate that, but it is Summer after all :D
I thought that there was supposed to be some confirmation sent out. When you registered did you get a confirmation or something through the electronic checkout? Maybe a push to the registration guru's is needed

Here is a link to the announcement and the rough timeline: Announcement

The biggest one to remember is the rafting if you are signed up: They have to head out around 8:00 AM to get to the drop off point, so get your fishing poles and sunscreen loaded the night before!

Mike,

Any more details on the raft trip? Will a shuttle bus pick us up at Pearl's Pond? Approximately when will we be back? What else should we bring (i.e. lunch)?

When does the winery tour depart?

Thanks.

We are providing our own transport to the raft company, and yes a packed lunch would be a appropriate. There is a choice of 2 person canoe/kayak or a 4 to 5 person raft for the float. I THINK the raft can hold a cooler for 'food' :) The raft trip ends right at the rally site. I'll flag out and clear a landing site on the island for us. The bus to shuttle drivers back for the cars will leave PP about 6:00 PM as I remember. They said the raft trip will take about 5 hours depending on the river and how much effort you put into paddling.
I'm not sure on the exact time for the Winery trip, midday timeframe though.

Having only been to one MAR I'd like to verify my recolection of the location of Pearls Pond. Is it off 652 between Rts 15 & 20? I recall the turn off by an open field, will there be a sign or should I just follow the trail of fluids and parts?
