Rokon - Darien Gap
I seem to recall a group taking a trip across the Darien Gap in Panama on Rokon motorcycles. They wrote a book about it. I am sure Google has a lot of information too.

hey all
i have a 1969 rokon trail breaker
i bought out a factory warehouse about 10 yrs ago and there she was in pristine condition.
i have a 3spd shifter on the side(albion trany)
its all original.
i use it for deer season hunting in nys.
yes it floats (on its side) had it in my pool second day i got it.
yes it swims (on its side)
it has a diaphram carborator so it runs sideways or just about anyways.
its real slow.
its like riding a horse
if you can hang on to it, it will pull you up and over anything.
i also ride it at my local MX track.except i go up the sides of the triple jumps.
its a feet down rider.
the new models are awsome also but still very slow.

yup, they are great machines. i have had two of them. used for deer hunting. went into places four wheelers would not. i
. have even seen them strapped to the struts of beaver bush planes. fly in, guys get dropped off, along with the trail breakers and of coarse broke new ground.!

get one, they rock and will go anywhere, just slowly. we rigged lights on ours when we lived in Wisconsin and rode it all over, even in the winter.
