Can I see photos of peoples' roll bars?

In my dreams I'd like a full length roll bar that follows the lines of the roof, but that fits just under the hard-top. This way I could have the hard top off in the summer and use the canvas directly over the roll bar, instead of the hoops.

But... is that even realistic?

Also, if it is a full length roll cage, it can be built with a smaller diameter tube -- right?

Just collecting dreams for the future.

FWIW, cages in a series truck make it a bit tight, and I'm only 5'9. I like your idea about the full cage fitting under the hard top, would be a cool idea.
There was a truck(88") at the shop quite a while back that had a cage,... was tight inside, and the cage was made very well, with tight radius work on the tubing..., just something to think about.
I know my boss has some pics, I'll hit him up and post some.

Back when I had a soft top, I put a cheap roll bar on that bolted onto the tub caps.

I am outta town right now but when I get back I'll try to dig up a photo. It wouldn't have done crap in a high-speed roll over but it probably would've saved the day in a low-speed, off road roll over. That is what I wanted from it so, win!

Too bad you aren't closer, I still gots it and wouldn't mind getting rid of it! (got a hard top now, do not need anymore)

i am currently working on something right now, which does both of these. What I have found is that you still need the hoop set. I will post pics of mine when done. THere is also a thread on pirate about this. cheers ian

Out of all the trucks I've been involved with at the shop, I prefer your truck every time. It's the perfect blend. If it's ever for sale.... btw, how's the exhaust?

Ben I dont know if you ever saw that red 109 in here with 5-point harness racing seats, but it had a full interior roll cage and like others have said, it was pretty tight. If you ever considered going full time canvas we have a roll bar set up that eliminates the front and rear hoops. We a 110 in here right now with that set up if you make it by. Also if you're looking at getting one made you should check with Land Cruisers NW. They're right downtown and they make rollbars for everything.

I'll have to stop by when I have a chance to see what you have. I've actually been driving the Series 2-3 days per week, but I never have the time to take for a few minutes on the way home.
