Roof Rack options for a D2

im look for a rack for my D2 and im wondering what some of the options are

I would like a full rack that still lets me use at least one of the sunroof
also I would like the members to be tightly spaced so items don?t fall through

can u guys help me

Get a safety devices one and put some flooring on it. Also try a search, people have mentioned great ideas in the past.

go with the highest posts to clear the roof line. You can space the bars to your liking and move them towards the back of the truck. Have worked great for me.

SD rack being used

SD rack is very user friendly, plus matches the contours of the Disco.

they are great for dogfood though...

I'm looking forward to the Backpack, then I can dump the Yakima basketcase, and clear room on my Yak bars for the new Kayak (don't tell the lovely bride...she barely knows about the Backpack :D ).

If I weren't trying to maintain the Yakimas and money was no object, I'd probably have an SD. But as it is, I NEED the Yakimas for bikes and crap, and nothing looks more Stoopider than Yak bars mounted inside the SD on the factory rails. As you asked specifically about full racks with floors, I think it's safe to say that around here you'll find near unanimous support for SD.

ditch the Thule idea...they're junk, unless you own a Volvo wagon and want to complete the boxy look. :rolleyes:
