Roof Rack Wire Connections

Trying to get my roof rack driving lights, work lights, and reverse lights wired up. They need to be on connectors since I'll occasionally remove the rack. I've seen both through hole (deck plug) connectors, and wires run through rubber rail hole plugs and then into waterproof connectors. What do you guys suggest?

well I would use something like a trailer plug easy and cheap to find
flush mount a 7 pin in the roof and you are done nice and easy :::

D1 A pillars are solid metal.

I'm leaning towards the simple, cheap, and easily available trailer power connectors at this point.

The weather pack connectors are nice, but I just don't see enough of an advantaged besides a few less butt connectors.
