Trying to do some background work on the G4. According to the carfax and the vehicle originated from Rosenthal Land Rover in Vienna, VA. They had apprently had it for about 3600miles then it was sold to the previous owner.

anyone know anything about this dealership or remember seeing a G4 on the lot in 04? i'm thinking they may have used it as some type of demo vehicle for a while?

They own a boat load of dealerships are ranked in the top 10 privately held businesses in DC. Over a billion in revenue in 2004. Been around since 1954. DARCARS is #8.

maybe that's why the experience has been poor, they lost the small customer friendly dealership feel. they don't give me the time of day when i drive my old beater DI in there. even my nice clean, genuine parts loaded DII got me no love. parts prices are outrageous (given with a dealership) but their inventory is poor and customer service sucks. this might be due to them not being a "Centre." I will admit their Chantilly location is much better in terms of customer service and parts. So I think it's general Tysons snobbery.

I don't get the point of how top ranked they are. That means that they have great customer service and can do no wrong? Wal-Mart was the top of the Fortune 500 in 2000something and we all know how many people hate Wal-Mart. Been around since the 60s. I believe they're still near the top.

I don't care how someone else ranks something. If it sucks when I use it or experience it, then it sucks in my opinion. I had terrible issues with them at Tysons(4 years ago). The one in Chantilly is much better(about a year and a half ago).

Wow, sounds like they are an improvement from when HBL was selling Rovers. Never been to the Rosenthal dealer.. Even though Rosenthal is closer to my house if I need a part that I can't mail order I go over to Alexandria LR and get it.
