Wiki indicates yes, they are pretty much the same car (not saying Wiki is the all knowing source of knowledge, but its a good place to start).

Remember for a while, D1's were sold over in Japan as Hondas.

My understanding is that the relationship with Honda was brief, and BMW not liking Honda at all put an end to that when they purchased LR. Not sure that is accurate, but I have read that somewhere. The D1 with a Honda badge on is pretty neat. I saw a pic a while back when I read the article.

It was a very strange feeling when living in Japan and driving a LR D1, passing a D1 that had a HONDA badge on it. At first just thought it was like seeing a VW that someone had put an Audi badge on to be "cool" or for whatever reason folks do that shit.

Then later on when at the LR dealer asked about it and found out that yes indeed, they are officially badged Hondas.

I didn't know about the integras, but in the mid to late 80's Rover badged as Sterling in the US sold a Sterling 825 which other then the electronics was pretty much an Acura Legend. Other than the typical British electronics these cars were actually really nice. Lot's of power and super stable at high speeds. We had 3 of them in our family. I had mine until I got T-Boned by some old guy in a Lincoln Continental. My biggest issue was that the heater fan would only work when it wanted to and sometimes would just kick on full blast for no reason and would not shut back off again.

Rover 200,400,600,800,75 all are rebadged Honda.

I think there is not a single model between 90-2005 is not related to Honda.

this was my fav part

"The Rover 200 is a English company that used the Integra platform and engine to have a reliable and fuel efficient English car."

Cuz when I think Acura, I always thing. Geez, great car, if only it could be as reliable and fuel efficient as an English car

They still add a bit of their own British element to make it unreliable, busted radiator mixed oil with coolant, headgasket, mostly overheat issues. Hardly see those in the Honda badge, even thou they share the same design. Really don't have a clue on what the Brits did, bump up the engine operating temp or cheap ass on the cooling system of what?
