I'm toying with the idea of rebuilding / resealing one of my 4.6's with some upgrades to the internals.

I'd love to try it myself, but I'm scared of what I don't know.

So, I'm either looking for someone that knows Rovers and can help me build it up, or that I can pay to do it within 100 miles or so of DC... or enough encouragement to try it myself.

Theres no reason why you cannot do it yourself if you take your time doing it. Find a good machine shop to do the grinding and stuff required in a full rebuild (Tom @ Fairfax Machine knows these motors and has done many, including one 3.5 for me). Buy quality parts and get a good machinist and assemble carefully over time.
