The winter before this one I rolled my truck, I posted about it back when it happened. Took me almost 2 years to get a connector to download my phone camera pics, but finally I did. Enjoy...

Glad things turned out more-or-less OK, except for the miscreant not being brought to justice, be that in court or with a pickax handle....

My brother did a slo-mo, 720 degree roll in his 109 years ago. Everyone was more or less in the same position as when they started and a full beer in the Bar-Bouy holder didn't spill a drop. Everybody says they are OK.... Then one of the guys in the back hollers, "Let's get out before it blows!"

My brother, being the lowest guy on the totem pole, sustained all his injuries getting trampled in the mad stampede to escape.

Cheers

Bar-Bouy....a gimbaled holder so drinks don't spill when the boat is heeled over, sometimes adapted for off-road use.... ;-)

Yeah, it all turned out fine. Cost me some money, but the truck runs even better now and i learned a lot getting it running again. The real bummer is that my dog hates to drive with me in this truck now, 18+ months later. Any other vehicle is no problem, but this one, he climbs on my lap and shivers and shakes continually. He used to go with me everywhere, but no more.

Yeah it sucks to see a fallen Rover. Even more that it still runs, cause I was gonna ask for some interior parts.

none of your fucking business
man, I cant imagine if my dog didnt want to ride in my truck anymore... I had him tied up at my girlfriends parents house while her and I went down to the beach for dinner. He broke the chain, scaled the fence, and circled my rover until we got back (we took my girls d2)

Vray -

I'm interested in knowing whether you've experienced any emissions problems post roll?

There are two main poisons that cause irreversible damage to three-way catalytic converters - free oil (not ash) and ethleye glycol. Also getting oil on the O2 sensors is not good...

Glad to know you and your buggy are OK.

Emissions problems - I assume a code would be thrown and I didn't get any codes. I am still getting the same 16 mpg or so. So i am guessing all is good on that front...

Yeah, it sucks. I only took him everywhere because he always wanted to come. I couldn't open the door without him jumping in. Now, if walk outside with a friend each going to our own car, he will cruise to the friends car and jump in. (The ladies are always flattered so he scores for me in that way, i couldn't plan it any better :p ) But when I say to him, no ray, you have to come with me, his ears drop, his tail curls under and he cowers. He will get in with out yelling or anything, but I have to give him a firm order.

That sucks vray to hear about your dog. I guess it is good that he is afraid of the disco and not your driving ;).

My elkhound was the same way with my SIII. I think it was the going 70 on the interstate that scared her. Lets just say a series isn't exactly smooth on the highway.

Good to hear that you and the disco didn't suffer too much wear from the roll.

Lol, that reminds me, the only time I have seen him "freak out" in a similar way before is when I took him on a sailboat, the waves pounding the hull traumatized him. Rough riding similar to driving 70 in an SIII I presume....

It is indeed doubtful that you (or anyone else, for that matter) would want the interior parts of my rover.
