How new is new? If you mean within the last year, then yes. I know for myself it's an excellent bumper but I haven't fully banged it up yet. It's a solid hunk of steel and I would recommend bribing two friends with beer to help you hold it still while you bolt it up. Also, I got the nerfs on the sides for it instead of the straight sides. The nerfs have actually come in handy plenty of times for tying shit down and using as steps when I had to get to the top of my truck.

Side of the road....
I don't have one on mine, but my buddy that I wheel with all time has one. As for my opinion on it, I'm buying one as soon as SWMBO lets me. I watched said friend slide of a rock coming down School Bus at Tellico and land directly on the bumper and I could hear it over his open exhaust, my truck, and my radio turned all the way up. In fact, I'm pretty sure I felt it as well.

Nice bumper but if I were buying today I'd buy Hard Labor Creek. I'm biased though. Here's a pick of my RTE:

I thought they only made front bumpers and sliders.. I just checked the site to make sure, are they in works of a rear bumper?

The D2 rear bumper has been out for ~3 years now. RTE has it on sale for $850 on the top of their main page right now...

I can tell you that the ROCK SLIDES at Hard Labor Creek are rock solid and I plan on getting the Front and Rear Bumpers. Denny is great to work with and will modify to CS needs. CHECK THEM OUT. But call with questions.

Their front bumper is wicked.

Just a few more $$$ and I will be ordering one.
Denny (DennyDoler on dweb) will be at the CROC Uhwarrie event along with several of his customers, including the D1 he is currently working on with a winch mounted in both the front and rear bunper. If you want to check out his products drop him a line, he is a great guy.
Look forward to seeing everyone @ Uhwarrie......

Love my RTE armor, including my DII rear bumper. I like the RTE especially because it looks almost stock, like it could have been a factory upgrade - very clean. That, and although I haven't landed on any of my RTE armor, it's heavy duty and appears to be well-designed (from an engineering standpoint). The guys up at RTE know Rovers and are very friendly. I'd definitely buy from them again.

Will post pics later.

Ok picture of my bumper with the integrated hitch to improve departure angles.

Sorry for the poser shots, but the GF said "you can't put your right front wheel on that rock, can you?"

Really need to disconnect the sway bars though.

Anyway, I've come down hard on the bumper, and it's held up very well. I wish I had went with the Nerfs, but oh well.

Whats the max you have pulled with the integrated hitch? I am trying to decide if I can pull a small uhaul with it, or if I need to put the tow hitch back on.
