Hi all.

Im new to the Disco web and so far have found it very informative and humourous at times.

I would like to take a poll on this patricular RRC.Im looking to see how many their are in North Anerica or do i have a rare find on my hands.

I bought a 1990 RRC 2 Door Left hooker with a VM diesel and 5 speed.I shipped in from France last summer. It has never seen snow or salt.It currently is sitting in my back yard under 5 feet of snow.
The truck is all stock for now.My plans will consist of the following

1.Total body off resto and galvnising of all the body pannels and anything thats metal.
2.Brand new r380 with tranny cooler.
3.New salsbury rear diff with disc brakes pluss a ARB locker installed.
4.New Lt230 with 1.4 ratio and part time 4x4 kit in it .
5.The front axle will be from a early 110 with vented discs and free wheel hubs. There will also be a ARB locker installed
6. 3 inch chassis lift and cranked front arms and modded rear trailing arms.Dislocation cones and all the goddies.
Mounted on Origional RRC alloy wheels they are the turbine type
8.Rear heavy duty bumper and fuel tank guard.Swing away tire carrier
9.Front mounted winch bumper and 10,000 lp PTO winch ,Pto will be off the back of the LT 230 (it was a 110 option)
Front steering and diff guards and the usual all heavy duty steering stuff up front.
10. Allard Sport custom made intercooler
11. Bigger exhaust.
12. Factory roof rack mounted with driving lights and work lights.
Mantec high rised air intake.
13.Bigger feder flares (for the wheel spacers i plan on using_
I expect it will take me a cpl of years to do the job.

If anyone has any other suggestions i would love to hear about them and look at some pics.
Ill have some pics posted as soon as i get them loaded on this puter.

I hopefully will have the 40' x 50' garage extension build when this damn snow is gone. This way ill have lots of room to buld this toy.

I was also told SHE get to pick out the color (it wont be pink lolol)

Talk soon

Tony:eek:

I was reading Feb issue of LRM and they have a kit that your truck starts on diesel.Once opperating temp comes up you then switch to Veg oil.About 2 mins from your destination you flip the switch over and the veg oil gets purged and you will then be able to start on diesel.

One if the items i also have to install is my Wabasto coolant heater.Ill be mounting it as well.Im also lookind art a duel alternator conversion but thats alot late and should really help cool things down.Because the factory intercooler isnt there any more they shouls be able to make it at least 6 inchec wider.

Because i also dont have AC or a tranny cooler and no fans in fronot of my radiator ill be installing the custom made inter cooler. It will be built so it fits all the way accross the front instead of 3/4 of the way.Because my raditor has no added coolers to it ill also have Allard build me as big a rad and can fit into the area.It will be made from light weight aluminum

yeah, the dual fuel solution is the best. No worrying about WVO hardening the arteries, so to speak. I'm sure you could integrate the shutdown switch-over with an unattended shutdown timer.
