Quick question, both the upper and lower selector lights are coming on at the same time. I didn't see an explanation in RAVE.

they should come on for a few seconds everytime the ignition key is cycled then go off, if they stay on then you have a code. Im guessing you still have EAS?
rave does have a section for EAS, also visit "rswsolutions.com".

Yup, I bought my RRC from a banker up in New York who wanted to keep it stock. The direction is much appreciated, thank you Carlos.

There is much to be said for the simplicity and reliability of coils, but after spending a month driving a P38 I started to enjoy pushing the button on the dash repeatedly and watching the truck raise and lower itself. Maybe ownership is different when the codes start, the airbags leak, the compressor craps out, and you have to deal with those problems. The feel of air springs on the road was pretty good, though.

Do you have the Arnotts?

I'll admit, I do actually like the air springs but then I haven't spent a penny on repairs yet. One of earliest memories was watching my neighbor demonstrate the EAS on his classic. I must have been four or five at the time. I had the same sense of childlike glee the first time I started playing around with the suspension. It may be less reliable but I'd like to keep it if I can.

Quick question - are the P38 and Classic air springs compatible? Looking at Rave it appears the classic springs are fixed in place via studs, whereas the P38 springs feature a R-clip.

I assumed they're not, but I wanted to make sure before I proceded.

the whole assy is not interchageable, but you can use just the bellows.
upon installation just lube the ends of the bellows and slowly air up system until they fall in place.

When both lights come on, the air suspension is locked at normal ride height, because it needs to be calibrated with a Test Book or Rovacom. I've had my Classic since 1997, and this happened to me once. Years later, I converted to coils.
