RRC Booster on Defender?

Someone suggested to me last week that the dual-diaphragm vac brake booster on the RRC might swap in to replace the single-diaphragm booster fitted to the Defender. Does anyone know if this is true or know anyone who has done something similar? It would seem a good way to improve brakes without resorting to something like hydroboost.

you would have to hack into the fender to get it to fit- both inner and outer.

A better upgrade is a disc brake rear axle. I can easily lock all four 33's on pavement.

OK, I've got those parts (well most of them so far) lined up or on the way already, as well as the bits to convert the front to vented rotors. Even stock the brakes were nowhere near as bad as those on the D2 (if I keep it, it'll get a hydroboost, I can't see any other solution really)

Basically the entire vehicle is in parts on shelves right now, or sandblasted and in bins waiting to go for galvanizing or being prepped for paint. :) more or less stalled waiting on the Richards chassis to finish being made and shipped, so hopefully in 2 months I can start putting things together. :)

Got a link to that article because I don't see it under Tech or Custom Mods. The 110 brakes are actually not nearly as bad as the ones on the D2 but the plan is to do something a bit better on both, the most likely option right now is the astro van hydroboost being fairly inexpensive as well.

maybe slick AT's on wet pavement. Do speak a little more on your brake configuration.
