This bumper was built by a fabricator in Huntsville, AL. The bumper is made out of thick steel and is quite impressive. Not too heavy, but thick enough to protect your Rover from the environment. Powdercoated black and well designed to be simple and useful, not bulky or obnoxious. Also included is a solid skid plate, which doesnt have the holes like the one in the picture and will need to be drilled for bolts to mount. This will insure a perfect fit. Also present on the bumper are recovery points and holes near the headlights to install the headlight washer nozzles. The bumper will aslo fit a Discovery I, but the bumper doesnt wrap around the fender corner as well as a Rangie and doesnt come to the wheel opening as well as a Rangie. Some very small grill notching will be necessary to fit to the Disco. The bumper is really designed with the RRC in mind and looks better on a RRC, but will install onto a Disco I. I can post pics of the bumper on a Disco if needed. I'd rather not ship, so the bumper should be picked up near Pikeville, KY. I can possibly meet within an hour or so. Asking $450. Donation will be made to Dweb when sold.

The bumper really isnt designed for the Discovery. It mounts and bolts to the disco frame nicely, but the corners, edge near the fender well, and the washer nozzles do not allign with the discovery. The corners of the bumper leave a fairly large gap. The bumper matches and looks fantastic on a RRC. Fredd, obviously does excellent work and the bumper design and strength would make it a perfect winch bumper for a RRC. It does mount to the disco, and if you are not concerned with the things I mentioned earlier it is definitely worth considering. I attached pictures of the bumper on my disco to show this.

Additionally, as with most bumpers that allow an aggressive approach angle, the grill will need to be trimmed to accomodate a winch on a disco and possibly very slightly on a RRC

Tim, as you may know, Fredd is not in good health and has been difficult to get in touch with. I recently exchanged emails and am hoping he will allow me to return the bumper. He did agree to build me a new bumper, but I have already made arrangements to buy another.

In the meantime, if someone would like to buy the bumper I will take $400.

I live in eastern KY right now, but will be going back to my home in NW Alabama over Thanksgiving and could possibly work out a delivery on the route home. Through Knoxville, Chattanooga, Huntsville, Russelville. Alternatively, I would be willing to drive an hour or two withing Pikeville, KY to help with delivery.

Also, if UPS will take a package this big I will ship. Shipping charges will be added to price of the bumper.
