RRC Oil Pressure

When I started my RRC this morning, the oil pressure light stayed on for about 3-3.5 seconds (using the Mississippi method). I believe the temperature was right around 0deg. Is this normal, or anything to worry about? I understand oil is thick when it's cold, etc. I'm just a little paranoid.

Thanks!

FYI: using 5-X weight oil in older rovers can cause the oil light to flicker at idle, use 15-40 if the problem persists.

Safe to assume your engine has 1xx,xxx miles on it? I wouldn't think twice about the oil light lingering for a while on a 0 degree morning. At that temp, my blood barely circulates...

I've had the same thing here in Maine. It only lasts for a couple of seconds at most and never comes back.

I think my starter is going though.....

Mine when it's really cold sometimes flickers when I first start it up for maybe 5 seconds then goes out and stays out I wouldn't really worry about it.

Thanks for the reassurance guys! You guessed right, it has 103k on the ticker, and only does it when brutally cold. The reason I'm paranoid is the previous owner had the truck towed into a shop 6 or 7000 miles ago because the oil pump "lost its prime" according to a receipt I found.
