I assume on a trail rig you WILL want a snorkel, If you want to spend $400 on a "LR" snorkel that's fine, but you will still need the hole...I'm not pitching this as a restorable museum car...It will always be a trial rig, that's all it can be...

No actually I don't really feel the need for a snorkel. Since it's not a diesel it's going to stall as soon as the ign. system is under water. So your fancy shit pipe snorkel is really just a gaping hole in a perfectly good cowl panel. And like 1,000 in reduced value. It looks like shit and anybody who knows anything laughs at them. Especially when they are made out of shit pipes.

I had the hood under water...and I'm willing to bet that more than a few rover owners have snorkels on gas engines...I'm not putting a gun to anybody's head, if you don't like it, i guess its just not for you.

Thank God your not puting a gun to anybody's head. I really don't want any Land Rover with a distributor in it. The engine management system is called CUX but we pronounce it SUCKS. You wanna know why?

Look, i think we got a little out of topic. I know its not the best RRC, shit...its not even a good one, but they are getting rare and this one still mostly OK. I really don't see the need to have an argument about it. Im sure there is someone out there that can use it as is or maybe tweek it a bit to suit their taste.

Isn't this DWEB? I thought going off topic was the name of the game. Somebody will want it, for sure. Thats why I asked what you think you want to get out of it. I personally don't want it but I see a lot of people in my line of work who might be interested. You already have a solid offer of 1,000.

Have you posted it over there? Those guys are kinda high end arent they? You sure they mean 3500 for something rough like this one?

The body and interior on this one are a gem compared to mine. But I only paid $500 for it 13 years ago. $4000 in repairs since.

So You live in Arizona and drive a rusted out classic? That's kinda messed up. I wonder if you could sell tickets to see rust, since most people down there don't get to see it.

yeah, truck lived in Philly and Houston before I bought it. I'm pretty sure it'd fail an inspection, if we actually had them. It passed the 'level 2' inspection when I first got it titled. I'm guessing they didn't check anything.
