RRC vs CRV

Got rear ended this afternoon. Cars stopped short in front of me & then I look in the rearview to see the CRV trying to stop in time…. CRUNCH… then my head pushed the headrest all the way back.

I'm fine. Check the driver of the CRV & she is fine. Then I check the Rover….. not a scratch. CRV took the hitch just off center to the passenger side. Lots of body damage and a busted radiator. Maybe more since it looked to have leaked oil or tranny fluid once parked off the road.

Glad you're ok. We already lost an RRC this past week. Two would have been too much.

I would have expected more front end damage from the CRV. Glad you and the person that rear ended you are all fine.

Thanks! It may have helped the compressed nerve in my shoulder too.

She could not have been going too fast. I'd guess 5mph +/-. You can't tell by the pic but the radiator was severely taco'd. The hitch hit just to the outside of the crush can and only pushed it towards the center.

I did find some minor damage on the Rover…. some how the NRP emblem on the exhaust tip popped off.

No… luckily it was just an accident…. and the CRV failed & RRC won!

Witnessed a Miata, Subaru, Pickup sandwich once.

Miata rear ends a stopped Subaru, going about 40 at impact.
Subaru launches forward and rear ends pickup in front of it.
Pickup's spare tire knocked off, but otherwise unscathed.
Subaru's front end demolished. Radiator above the windshield. Front wheel ripped off.
Miata drove away with a few body panels barely tweaked.



I sold the Miata later. It was kinda gay looking anyways.
