What does it take to run 35's on a RRC? I will be adding HD axles front & back and CV's. Will the diff hold up?

Not worried about clearance, just worried about the mechanical workings underneath right now. New suspension coming soon. Just curious as to what it would take or am I just being silly and should go with 33's...

Thanks.

same same as a disco.... you'll need lots

i'd save your pennies for an LT230 first...but that's just me

I thought it might be that same as a disco but thought I would ask anyways... I guess I'll stick to 33's.

Copy that on the LT230... ordering new Equipe suspension, HD axles (front & back), CV's, and a few other tidbits next month.

On a RRC you can actually fit 35's a little easier, well with less bodywork at least.

Basically, rip out stock drivetrain, drop in Toy conversion and go. Oh yeah, LT230 is probably a requirement as well, but then again that should be the first mod to any RRC that wants to wheel.

ok, enough with the lt230 stuff... it's on the list! lol... basically i have a certain amount of money to "play" with in the first phase and the lt230 is going to be done in the first phase.

so basically, by adding lockers, it spreads out the stress caused by larger tyres?

I think, for the best money can buy, you are better off saving money from teh equipe stuff and sticking to tried & tested simple items.

1. Toy Conversion (~4K USD with ARBs)
2. LT230 (ok, you have that underway)
3. OME 2" lift (won't act up your suspension geometry & necessitate you to get more parts)
4. Cutting the fenders

If you are running stock diffs I would recommend lockers as stock carriers will allow the ring to flex enough to blow up your r/p even with 33's in the right situation

X10, I grenaded my spider gears with 32's and a piece shot out of the back like a bullet :ack: Made for a long slow ride home.
