Failed MASS emissions with my '92 RR. Results were:

CO2 at 2390 RPM was 13.6
at idle they were 13.2

CO was 3.05 at 2428 RPM
at idle they were 2.93

HC was a range of 140 to 149

the test failed at CO because the cut point was a 2 and I scored a 3.05 so i'm not sure what the cut point for CO2 was.

I replaced plugs (champions), cap, rotor. O2 sensors were replaced awhile back. The cat rattles something awful and she is running rough, real rough. The battery gets drained within a day or so and its a new spiral cell. I know that is a separate problem but I figured I'd throw it in there. She has 130k on the clock. Any suggestions on how to remedy these problems OTHER than a match and gasoline?

I had a cat doing the same thing. I would replace the cat for starters. I had one done on my D1 for $150 total. Catco 6905 from Summit, local shop welded it in. Much improved running afterword, until the head gasket problem.

I've cleaned the MAF sensor already and that didn't fix the problem. I was unaware you could cut and weld in new cats, thought I was limited to buying a whole new unit. Summit still has the replacement cats but they only list S.S. under that part number. Any idea what number it is for a regular steel one? How much is an obd2? Thought you didn't need one cause of the display unit under the passenger seat. I know A. British has them but is there a different source for readers that are cheaper?
