Safari Gard D1 vs D2

I’ve been trying to acquire Safari Gard sliders and front / rear bumpers for my Disco 1, but to date I’ve only rarely come across these for a Disco 2.

Are they interchangeable? Will D2 SG equipment bolt right up on a D1?

I copied my authentic D1 sliders to make a set for my other D1 since SG is long gone. This was close enough.

I think D2 sliders are shorter because of the wider wheel well opening.


Its mitered, not rolled. and mitered at < 1degree so just cut right angles and fill the gap with weld if you choose to make your own.

For the most part D2 and D1 front bumpers will bolt up - just may have some gaps/body work to do.
Rear bumpers are different.
