Sagging Rear Suspension

I noticed this morning that my 2001 DII's right rear was sagging noticeably after being parked on a level ground. After I drove the car to work (15 miles) and parked, it was back to normal, but when I checked the car during lunch hour it was sagging again. I remember reading some post from the old archive about SLS going bad (though I'm having little luck searching the archive). Does this sound like the symptom for a faulty SLS? Is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance.

sounds like you may have a small leak somewhere. Replace the o-rings on the hoses first and clean out the assembly.
I think someone put "fix-a-flat" in their springs once. i woudlnt reccomend this, but it may be a good quick fix if stranded.

It's an 01, are you still in warranty, if so don't mess with it.

Why? have you read the thread about sloppy service? If its just o-rings which it probably is, then try that first. minimum down time of the truck. if you take it to a dealer it may be a week before they know what is wrong with it, then just replace the whole system or some bs. if changing the o-rings doesnt work and a cause cant be found, then take it to a dealer as a last resort. of course they may just say, "well you took it off road and abused it so you caused the leak and have to shell out $$$ for an all new system, or $800 to convert to coils."

Considering replacing SLS to coils

Has anyone done this? Is this a DIY project for a technical novice like myself? What are the parts that are needed other than the obvious springs/shocks? Will changing to coils affect the ride quality? Thanks.
