Hi guys my SAI pump when first starting in the morning sounds like a turbine engine for about 1 to 2 minutes and stops , the hose hooking to the bottom of it has gotten so hot that the plastic connector has melted and now the hose is just loose under .
Question most likely I will need a SAI pump ,I did notice my mpg dropping after this happen .
And why is it getting so hot?

Ideas? Thanks

If it got hot I would suspect the check valves are stuck open and exhaust gasses are getting in there and melting it.

Thank you, are this check valve in the SAI pump or outside of it somewhere ? Just want to make sure I won't melt the next one thanks .

They sit on top of the metal tubes coming out of the cylinder heads. I check them by applying vac. to them and listening to a rumbling sound to start coming out of the system. It should sound like you just let the exhaust into those pipes then quiet down when you take the vacuum away.

Thank you ,do you know if there a way to clean them or I just need new valves?
