Whoo, hometown! I may or not be around, I know I've got at least one more day of work in LA this week, but if I am we should definitely have a pint.

Check out Stone Brewery - great ambiance and excellent beer. Ballast Point Brewery has slightly better beer IMHO, but it depends on which one you get (I recommend IPL if its in), the ambiance is not quite as good though. But it's also in town, not out in the middle of freakin' nowhere.

What part of SD will you be in?

When I was in SD last year, I tried to coordinate a trip to Stone with taking my daughter to the Safari Park. The wife didn't go for it.

Cool, thanks. I'm staying at the Manchester Hyatt, I assume I can get to the Stone brewery fairly easily.

Appreciate the input, don't know what nights but I'll hopefully make something happen.

I realize it's probably not cool to recommend Stone because it's so well known, but for my time/money when I was down there, touring that place and drinking a few in their bar was some of the most fun I had.

That is exactly how I felt about it too. The outdoor space is amazing as well.
