Scraping Frames Sucks!

It does, but after a lot of hard DIRTY work and some patch welding, what is a good base rust killer before I paint?

i use purple power de-ruster (yes, thats what its called). or POR-15 is decent but the PP is like $6/quart. cant beat it.

oh, and wear gloves and eye protection (ask me how i know).

Nevermind I searched and found Advance has it. Hope it covers some of the undercoating/tar I could not get off.

If you have a bare frame just send it ti get hot dipped.

sorry..site's been down for me. yea, advance is where i got it.
its nice as you can actually screw on a sprayer if you want.

i used a brush, be sure to pour it out of the bottle into a cup so as not to contaminate the remainder of the bottle.

For the Tar and Undercoat you can't get off, an angle grinder with steel wire brush works well...

(though watch out for projectile wires when the brush gets warn)
