Hey guys,

Its me again, the ignornant guy with all the questions. If I start to bother you, just let me know and ill send my wife over to give you pleasure! This rover is for her anyway, she may as well help out! :)

Ok went to buy the RRS and suddenly felt like I was going to crap myself. Just didnt feel right. Now looking at a 07 RR HSE.

I looked over on rangerovers.net and it appears that this is a pretty good year. However, I could not find information about the simple "johnsonrod" lifts and no information on the lowrange in the tcase. Please tell me they have a lowrange! Im sure it does, just didnt see any information on anything offroad.

Was the front diff spline issue corrected for the 07 model?

Any realiability issues and off road goodie info would be appreacited.

The have a low range and I am not sure anyone makes shortened rods for the HSE since the height sensor is all one piece. The diff recall affected earlier models, so it should not be a problem. I think the 07 might have a locking rear diff too, the 03-05 do not. Bonus with the 07 is the terrain response... If you can score a good deal it will be a great addition to your garage.

On a good note the grabber A/T is now made in a 19 inch size... I am not sure you can get it in the states yet. If it has 20 inch wheels there are a few options for A/T tires, but the 19s are slim pickings... I have blown out two michelins on top of the world and replaced with bridgestone dueler H/L tires, not ideal, but good all around for light trails and quiet on the road. Goodyear MTR are available in the 19 inch size, but are terrible tires.

Just have a good service history and make sure all campaigns have been done on it. Check with the dealer over the phone with the VIN.
