to my knowledge, the XD was only make in 97
it had a factory SD rack (no factory rack slats system), front bumper, seat covers on manual seats (no seat heaters),
rear lamp guards and a really cool "special edition" badge in the engine compartment along the radiator support.
other than that i believe they are identical.
4.0 motor, zf4hp22 trans, lt-230 t-case, rover 8.5 axles

Four, my '99 D1 has no sunroof-which is fine by me - one less leek to worry about :D

roofs might have been an option, but all the 99's (D1s) were SDs. i think they were just cleaning house with the last D1s and using whatever they had lying around. haha.

i like my dual roofs. the previous ass face that owned my one '98 actually sealed up the roofs. the motors and all that work just fine, but he (or she) used silicone around the tops of the sunroofs. i was amused with that one.

they are so much more bright and cheery inside with all that light! putting me in the never ending good mood. yeh....right.

My XD has jump seats but it also is a 5speed. Of course mine is a 96 and an anomaly. I'm so glad that I don't have sunroofs anymore. I really didn't like the windshield waterfall that happened when I stopped in my 97 after rain. Thankfully the 97 is off the street now...it was definitely a friday build.
