I keep reading references about "seafoam." Can somebody tell me exactly what it is and why I should use it?

it is a gas treatment/cleaner type product that may be added into the crankcase, gas tank, plenum and now they also have a t r a n s m i s s i o n treatment. you should use it cuz it rocks!
actually, there are others that are good as well...like bgk-44 (way overpriced) and others. d1 ownere (especially) need to use some type of carbon cleaning treatement on a regular basis to help avoid carban build-up on the valves. this is a prob because the valve train had to be "tweaked" in order to pass us emissions. this has caused some issues with sticking valves.
