anyone aware of a company for Land Rovers marketing such items as the LeatherZ line for BMWs? My DII is a base model so I could use a bit more "Schwing!" I'm mostly interested in the idea of adding covered trim pieces to the interior that would help jazz up the acres of tan inside my truck...

Any ideas would be great!

(notice in this link that there are a boatload of stupid little junk items like chrome e-brake buttons for 7 bucks and shit. I'm interested in the good stuff.)

I would be interested in the wood, I was looking at it last night in the AB catalog. Those companies are cheaper, has anybody tried either? Is it decent qualitiy>

this guy I used to work with ordered some for his Acura.. I never looked at it though so I don't really know. He said it was Ok but, his taste is well, lets just say he lowered the Acura and I think there was some neon in there some where..

Utah - I was only kidding with the neon..

...just figured it was one last beat-down for the Kerry supporter. :D

as for the interior...I wasn't thinking so much in terms of the wood stickers, although the genuine console and passenger dash bar are possibilities. What I'm really thinking of is some replacement panels for the cloth in the door panels, and then maybe some way to tie that in to the rest of the interior, like a center armrest. That cloth is the stupidest idea...when I finish after a hot day on the bike my sweaty knee sits right there on the cloth for the drive home, smudging it up nicely. yuck!

yeah sure it's a stupid thing to worry about, but as long as I'm afraid to scratch the truck off-road, I might as well get to play somewhere! (maybe I should have kept the Tacoma as the 'Trail Beater' after all!) That and I'm collecting the parts to do the Blitzsafe-Changer-iPod-CB-Hellas install with a new harness I've made, and I figure hell...while the interior is in pieces...

Utah, I don't have anything against you other then I think you had bad taste in leaders.. No jabs. I didn't call you names before why start now..

You're in Jacksonville FL right.. I'm sure that there has to be some higher end custom car shops around you.. They could probably replace the fabric with whatever you want.. Gator skin could be pretty cool

Just accept that you aren't driving an Lexus, save yourself the headache. I've given up on that idea myself by now ;) Trying to think more function over form going forward, hehe!

NorCal, man YOU were one of the few I figured would come back with a laundry list of bling-venders! Letting me down man... :D

Being able to cover that crappy fabric would allow me to use the truck even when I'm good and filthy without worrying about grubbing up the door panels. I just can't get used to the fabric...you know how you own a car for a while and then something just rises to the surface and bugs the crap out of you...there it is. Muddy Fabric Door Panels.

NorCal has come a long way since his first posts. Maybe the beatings about 19's and stereos shaped him up.
