Just got a new seat bottom it’s a leatherette one for my drivers seat. Do they just pull off and go back on?

You'll need to take the whole seat out of the car, and remove the back, then the seat bottom can be removed by unclipping it from the seat frame. It will also be tied to the seat foam via some metal rings. These can be cut with heavy wire cutters and replaced with similar rings, or small zip ties.
