The mechanism that controls the seat adjustment has been removed from the previous owner. The motor that actually moves the seat is good, but again, something has been removed. I am not sure, some sort of box. It isn't the actual control beside the seat, it was something under the seat.

The PO said I can "jump the two leads" under the seat to move the seat forward, back, etc.

Does anyone know how the hell this is done? I don't want to start connecting wires and short something out.

look under your seat and you'll see the wiring harness that goes to the seat motors. Unplug the harness from the motor you want to "jump" and connect your battery (+ and -) with two small wires to the prongs in the connector. I forget if there is enough room for alligator clips, but you can just hold the wires there if needed. If you reverse the + and - the seat will move the other way.

I have an extra seat switch harness that i made from a d1 seat harness to bypass the memory control unit the is missing in your truck. I will sell it to you if you want it? 30.00 plus shipping and i send you wire diag for the seat and instructions on how to do it. I have done thei on my 95 rrc but you loose the mirror switch function but who care i move them by hande. And you can use the factory switch that is already there. Text my and send you pic of the harness if youo want enjoy!
