Some of you know that we're in the process of re-powering the '71 IIa ex-Mod 109.

The o.e. drivetrain is out and the bits from the oil cooler to the rear axle are available - either complete or piece by piece.

Something less than 30k miles on the engine, transmission is a rebuilt from Wise Owl with less than 5k miles on it.

Front diff, axles, swivels and brakes are available as is the rear axle inboard from the backing plates.

Soon to come out are the underseat MoD fuel tanks and draw tubes....the o.e. fuel selector valve is available too.

I'm also considering selling the safari top and fixed glass roof sides and the back door as its just more fun with the canvas on and I have room in the garage for it now.

Drop me a note if you need anything. The vehicle is still at Pendy's shop, so he can get you photos if you need to see anything specific or have questions that you want an independent answer to.

Thanks,

KAA

Hi Chris,

They're covered in MoD tarry goo and appear to be in fine shape. I drained and cleaned them, oh, five or so years back when I first bought it and have been driving on them since.

Be aware that as MoD tanks the filler is accessed under the seat and has no provision for an external filler.
