Well my Mean Green alternator finally arrived. The paperwork says I need a 91.5" 7 rib serpentine belt, yet I can't find an autoparts that carries one. Am I asking for the wrong thing when I call? Where did others find their's? Sergei? Are you out there?

Yep.. Out there :)

I got mine on special order from Autozone. Also local "parts palace" place can get it for you.
Just ask them for that p# that mean green supplied in bit of paper. It costs like 47$ or something around it (gatorback belt)

Thanks, Sergei. I'll give Autozone another try... maybe call a different one this time, cuz the one I tried first said they couldn't get one in 91.5" like MeanGreen specified. They said the smallest 7 rib was 94". NAPA said they could get a 91 1/8" or a 91 7/8"

Melissa, it took nearly a month to get my alternator... first they closed up shop for a week to go to SEMA. Then it took a few days for them to process the order and charge my card. Another week to get ahold of them to find out if they even shipped, they said they had but couldn't give me a tracking number. Another week gone by and they claimed it must have been lost in shipping. They supposedly reshipped and it showed up today. It's a royal pain in the rear to get ahold of these people (phone, email, even fax). I hope I don't end up having to go through an RMA like Sergei!

for my mean green, i have the Gates Micro-V K070905 (25mmx2315mm). they had it in stock at both local auto parts places i tried (napa and local joint). ordered my alt through a distributor about year and a half ago and got it within a couple weeks. also had some troubles like Sergei. the pulley on the alt loosened up and popped off, bent the shaft and had to send it back. customer service was very responsive and had it to them and back to me within a week and a half.

yeah, the info they sent me (again, this was over year and a half ago) was the metric size, not the standard. so i found the belt with the correct metric size. sounds like they may have updated their literature?
