I have searched the web, and have not found a real answer to this. I just bought this D2 a couple of months ago.
The Service Enigne Soon light on my 1999 D2 w/ 75K miles has been on for about 2 weeks. It came on once, and I took it to an AutoZone type shop, which did a oil change and checked the car out, they said the light reset itself. 4 Days later the light came on again, and its still on. I have checked the gas cap, nothing looked wrong. I also looked for this TRW Emissions box in the passenger kick panel (apparently this is ONLY on D1's).
The car drives fine, cannot feel or hear anything different. Is there a way that I myself can fix or reset the light in addition to finding out what is causing this.
I really do not want to spend $250+ at the dealer to figure this out.
Thanks
