Service Engine Soon D2 2004

My service engine soon light came on after a long drive over the weekend.
I noticed my that some of the tubes to my Charcoal canister were loose so I pushed them back in. Now all is good. But what's a good way to keep them from coming loose again. Can I tie them or just re-tape? Tape looks like it coming loose.

Did you get the codes read on the Service Engine Soon light? That's absolute #1 starting place.

No, because I was out of town, and after I pushed the hoses back, the light went off. So far it has stayed off.
Looks like the tape was just to keep the tubes together with the cover.
If it comes back on I will have it checked.

I used little zip ties on the rubber boots if we're talking about the same thing. Otherwise they like to come off.
