Wow, the most amazing part of that is the fact that someone actually paid to produce that movie.

Has anybody seen World War Z? I hope it will be worth watching.

As far as Sharknado goes, my wife scoffed at the movie's premise. I told her unless you have invested a couple thousand bucks in making a movie don't be judgemental.

Read the book WWZ very good but before you read that read The Zombie Guidebook by the same author Max Brooks. Very entertaining and well written. But I heard that WWZ was really good, I have been wanting to see it myself.

It's best to give things a chance.

Not everything has to be pompous award fodder. It's okay to enjoy pointless cinematic fun every now and again, and silly movies like this are a great way to do so.

I agree with some of the comments below that article. A lot of good shows are cancelled. Quite often, it seems they aren't marketed effectively.

Defiance was certainly marketed well, but the heavily serialized plot is a bit much right out of the gate.

There's a lot going on, and I think they are leaning a bit too far in confusingly mystical directions, and trying to invent fictional cultures (that all manage to end up just close enough to ours to seem... just plain wrong...) too quickly.

The "noble savage" card is being played too soon, as well.

It's like Deep Space 9, if it had been started in the last season, with no space, and no Quark.:banghead:

I don't mind stupid movies. I do mind stupid movies that are poorly made.

I like Bruce Campbells independent films.

The technical artistry of film making is always expertly handled. The guy knows his shit. Anything else that would keep them out of the "poorly made" category, however, is essentially absent.

He takes his B movie image very seriously. Every tiny detail is carefully orchestrated to produce the expected result. If he wanted to do something impressively mainstream, he could do it while stuffed in a potato sack with his eyelids glued to that magnificent chin.

That doesn't even make sense, but... That's just the way it is. He's so good, he's turned bad into an art-form.

He's easier to appreciate if you spend time around people in the industry. It doesn't matter what manner of films they've worked on. When exposed to his antics, they giggle like schoolgirls at the tricks, and you've got to endure half an hour of someone explaining why certain bits were great in terms you don't understand.

I've listened to several people (who for some unfathomable reason weren't familiar with him) suggest that they'll "be keeping their eye on him".

Dudes, he's where he's going to be for the rest of his life, and he loves it. If you offered that bugger a million dollars to do no more than walk across the set of a film tailored for a pile of Oscars, he'd tell you to go pound sand.

The world of B movies is pretty fun to explore, once you get used to it.

Cheers,

Kennith
