Shipping of a Roof Rack

Hey everyone.. I am talking to a fellow DWebber about him selling me his roof rack.. we seemed to have reached a snag on the whole shipping thing though.. doesn't seem like UPS or Greyhound will accept anything that big. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this? It will be from Denver, CO to Newark, NJ. Thanks

I think they might require you to crate the rack for them to insure it.

i second "forward air", i've shipped several motorcycles through them and they were great.

also check with Fedex ground, i just recieved a pallet of bumpers that was pretty reasonable.
