I am having a bit of trouble getting one of these things. What I need is a 3" center to center crossbar adapter to mount a normal eye loop shock to the front lower mounts of a DII. Actually really need 2 15/16" but I can get a 3" to work I figure.

I ordered a 411338 from eshocks and what they sent me appears to be a 411337 according to the picture in link below. They were pretty animate about it so I said whatever and I will order from shockwarehouse. Now it seems they are having problems getting it as well.

I figure about every shock manufacturer has to have these things but I will be damned if I can find them. Anyone seen a source for them?

Why not just order the RTE adapter? According to Steve there my 2" lift springs combined with the additional 1.25" that adapter gives will equal spring dislocation for me. As a last ditch effort, this is an option I guess.

Rovertym has what you need $35, just use his DII lower mount...done! I guess we do at least 3 DII's with Bil. or Kings a month and yet to have a problem.

For the 2" springs and 10" travel shorty body 7100's? Steve himself said it would be a problem, maybe playing it safe?

If dislocation is the problem, then retain the front springs top and bottom and use the RTE mounts. Or find someone who can make up some lower mounts out of strap - I made my own from strap available from the local hardware store... just takes a little time.

Ho-ley-shit.
:soapbox:
After waiting several days and not seeing a tracking number I called and they said they would ship them out right away. Don't know what happened, I guess they huffed a little waxoyl instead of the usual krylon and killed off the brain cells that remembered to ship orders.

Guess what shockwarehouse sent me? I have one 411337 and one 411338. These things are very visibly distinctly different, and as they are not labled from Bilstein as to which is which (perhaps the source of the problem) they could have at least referred to their own website picture to figure it out. Or even, you know, maybe use a ruler and measure.

To top the retardation scale they shipped them in a 14x9x9 box with no packaging or invoice. Now these things aren't getting damaged or anything but why would you use such a huge box and waste money in shipping?

There has to be some brains in the organization there, the site is well organized and fairly polished with the usual features you expect from a decent etailer. They even sent me an electronic label to return the wrong part.

What is it about not including invoices? Neither eshocks or shockwarehouse sent one.

Strike three coming around the bend?

It's called try and find anyone to hire with a brain nowadays (especially low pay scale jobs). So, the guy who owns the company, doesn't want to be the parts or shipping department, so he hires employees at minimum wage and he gets negative IQ's, then you get incorrect small parts in huge boxes as the result.

Does it look like this will be possible to press on? To me it looks like that hard rubber is going to get shredded in the process. I just don't see it compressing down that far to fit inside this joint.

Well, here's some more bad news for you. You need different rod ends on the shocks. I'm going through the same thing you are, just waiting on the rod ends and I'll be good. Steve got this info directly from Bilstein, eshock didn't have a clue.

Do tell! What are you getting then? Part numbers and source?

I greased these up and tried to press them in but the rubber isn't close to going in. Seems these are for the 51xx series shocks as they appear to have a bigger eye end.

I am going to order Steve's adapter and reducer bushings to use the Heims on the 7100's unless I can figure out something this weekend, just plain waiting too long for this to happen. If the springs dislocate one inch so be it.

Steve actally called Bilsein directly to get this bit of info. Give him a call, he should be able to help you.
I know what you mean, I've had the rear shocks in for a few weeks and it's killing me not having the front ones done. I'm hoping my rod ends get here tommorrow.
