Sold my 1977 FJ40 on EBAY and purchased a 2004 DII and a 95 Jeep. Sold the DII and the Jeep and purchased 95 D1 and a 2004 Ford Escape (Insurance on Escape $75 a month cheaper than the DII). D1 much more comfortable than FJ or Jeep. I have put about 30,000 on the 95 D1 and most of that has been on dirt roads. It has held up very well and has got me home every time.

Ever consider a Suzuki Samurai? I know, most people aren't believers until they see one in action. They are pretty cheep to buy, repair and modify and you run all day on little gas.
