Shrader valve

From what I've read here, when changing the fuel filter, releasing the pressure via the shrader valve is preferred over th efule fuel pump relay. Where is the shrader valve, and what does it look like?

It looks just like the valve on your tires. It has a grey cap on it. It's located on the left side of the plenum on the fuel rail (by the injectors).

Don't worry about making a mess, pull the fuse for the fuel pump and run the engine dry, no miss no fiss.

If you're tackling it in the morning, just crack open the gas filler cap overnight and it will be depressurized in the morning. (just don't start it up to move it)
