shut off and whinning turbine noise after off???

04 disco 70k miles. i did search for this too..does leak coolant and gettinig that loooked at sinday.

Drove stuck today, seemed fine. Started up later, higher rev than normal 1500rpm, service engine light came on. Shut truck off and heard a wining turbine sound that really sounded like at turbine winding down, took maybe 5 seconds to wind down...whats up with that?

Im so sick of these things!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wind down turbine noise might be fans running after you shut off?

I think I've heard my fans running after shut off on really hot days. That doesn't really explain why yours is doing it though if you're in maine.

Does your fan clutch have any resistance at rest?

its your SAI, your pump could be bad or you have a bad sensor. if you only have 1415 it could just be the pump, if it is a sensor you will usually have a fault on both banks.

the turbine noise is definitely the pump.

You will soon. If you ever get that noise after vehicle is warm it means it is running test cycle. Purge valve going bad if both banks get fault otherwise it is relay.
